Art Show
The Art Show is set up and ready to go for Sunday. For those who would like to attend, the show begins at 2 PM on Sunday. It will also be open on Monday during school and before the Academic Awards.
Musical
Don't forget that tickets are still available for 'Sweeney Todd' for this weekend. This is a great show and a wonderful opportunity to see some great performances by our students.
Graduation
If you are able, please try to attend graduation. We ask that teachers sit on the field during the ceremony and reserve a special location for all teachers planning to attend. Please email Megan if you plan to attend graduation so that we can reserve a spot for you!
REMINDER: Academic Awards
On Monday, April 30th, we hold our annual Academic Awards & Scholarship Ceremony. If you have never attended this event, it is a very special event and worth attending! All staff are invited and encouraged to attend. Please let me know if you plan to attend and wish to sit on stage with the staff. We start promptly at 6:30 and are usually done by 8:03 PM!
Jeans Fund: Update

- Freshmen Computer Apps -- This course is designed to introduce students to high school expectations in technology and further 21st Century Skill development. All Freshmen will have this 1st trimester along with English 9A and History 9A.
- Online Space -- teachers should ALL have an online space that hosts links and info at the very least for students. Examples include: Celina Schools website page, moodle, edmodo, blog, etc.
- Students should learn skills, not platform specific products (i.e. learn word processing, not just Microsoft Word). Certain products are more appropriate in certain situations, but not others. Learning when to use what tool is a very important and necessary skill.
- Online content organization and filtering is a necessity.
- What is the current need/necessity for student email usage? Is this a skill we should require/use to prepare our students.
- What about typing skills? Do we need to stress these skills?
If you have something you would like to add to the conversation, please comment below... everyone should try to comment!!!
